Minds Matter is a not-for-profit organization that brings high-achieving and motivated high schools students from low-income families together with dedicated mentors to achieve academic excellence and expand educational horizons. We work to help further academic and leadership skills, with the goal of admission to a four-year college or university.
Every week, I mentor a high school sophomore named Bria. Bria is a bright and talented young woman and my experience mentoring her has been amazing. She is an accomplished policy debater and will be applying to summer programs focusing on government, debate, and writing. We rely on donations to help fund the tuition and travel costs of attending summer programs that help Bria and all of our students prepare for higher education.
